About Me

Interest

I enjoy having time for myself. I like to write poetry that reflect my life. I wrote many free style poems. Writing down stuff is a way for me to get inside my head and express my thought. I also enjoy taking pictures because I want to cherish every moment that I have.

Sometimes I like to do something that involve more movement, so I would go for a run or play volleyball for fun. I love listening to people, and their interesting stories, often I can relate it back to what I have gone through with my life.

I also really love traveling. One of my dreams is to hopefully travel around the world to the places that I wanted to go to. Some of the places I have in mind are, Thailand, the Philippines, France, Mexico, and maybe so much more will be added to the list down in the line.

Volunteer

During my years of attending the community college in town, I volunteered to be a teacher and teach in the children's ministry and the young adults at my local church. I took part in this because I want to be a part of the community, and I want to feel connected with my community. However, going into this I have learned so much more than I would have ever excepted. I have learned that being a leader does not always mean you have to be perfect and all good. I have taught bible studies for the members at church that is way older than me, to just little kids who always looked up to me.

However, leading bible studies or just being a teacher in the children's ministry, I have learned more from them than I have taught them all. I learned to be patient, caring, and mostly opening myself up. I believe that being a leader does not always mean that you have to know everything, but it is the fact that you are there for them to guide them and allowing yourself to be guided through them.

Creative Side

I believe that a piece of art is the creation of a connection between the creative mind of the artist and the artist self. During my high school year, it was very tough for me to choose which career I want to go to. I want to impress many others but for some reason I cannot find my own major. I was pretty lost, and I went into college blindly not knowing what I wanted to do.

However, at one point I just give it all up. I was so tired of trying to go for what others wanting me to be. So, instead I follow what I truly wanted to do and that is art and designing. I want to express my ideas, creativity and passion through the form of arts. For this alone, I decided to major in Graphic Communication and come to UW-Stout. Looking back from where I started, I’ve always had a passion for art, weather that is creative writing, designing, photography, video editing, and or performance. I used to Hmong dance and show my beautiful culture through dancing. I remember the times that I would draw dresses, and clothes, and design it my own unique way. When I am in my stressful mood, I would sit alone and write it all down. I wrote so many poems and stories and that has become a way for me to relieve everything.
